Governo busca experiências internacionais em plano sobre Internet das Coisas

O Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia, Inovações e Comunicações quer ouvir investidores e pesquisadores internacionais para colher sugestões para a elaboração do Plano Nacional de Internet das Coisas (IoT), que deve ser lançado em setembro. A ideia é contar com a expertise de especialistas, pesquisadores, empresas e desenvolvedores brasileiros e estrangeiros para contribuir com o plano, que vai prever ações para desenvolver tecnologias de IoT no Brasil até 2022.

Segundo o diretor de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação Digital do ministério, José Gontijo, a ideia é ter a opinião de quem gostaria de investir no mercado brasileiro e evitar a construção de uma  iniciativa que só exista no Brasil, sem interfaces com o que existe em outros países.

“A gente quer caminhar não só olhando para o Brasil, mas para o mundo. Não só para atender as nossas necessidades aqui, mas que as empresas e as instituições de pesquisa que estejam atuando nessa área aqui no Brasil possam também atuar prestando serviço em nível global. A gente quer garantir o livre acesso e a livre possibilidade para o desenvolvimento das tecnologias no país, garantindo, claro, a proteção das informações que vão ser tratadas”, explicou Gontijo.

No mês passado, o ministro da Ciência e Tecnologia, Gilberto Kassab, lançou a primeira das cinco consultas públicas internacionais sobre IoT, durante o Mobile World Congress, em Barcelona, na Espanha. O tema da primeira consulta é o panorama das iniciativas já desenvolvidas no Brasil. As demais vão tratar sobre as aspirações para o Brasil, os setores econômicos que podem ser beneficiados com o plano, os temas que merecem a atenção do governo na implementação do plano e as propostas para as políticas públicas.

A previsão é que o plano fique pronto em setembro, depois da conclusão de um estudo contratado pelo governo em parceria com o Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES), que irá propor ações concretas para o setor. “Em setembro já vamos ter as ações específicas para serem implementadas em curto, médio e longo prazo. O plano vai ter ações concretas, vai apontar exatamente o que teremos que fazer”, disse o diretor de Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação Digital.

Segundo Gontijo, o plano vai prever áreas em que o governo vai regular mais e outras em que é preciso desregular. “Há nichos de mercado em que não há necessidade de o governo atuar, mas outros estão diretamente ligados à prestação de serviços públicos, como a parte de transporte, mobilidade urbana”, falou.

Uma consulta pública realizada este ano no Brasil para colher sugestões para o plano já recebeu 2,3 mil contribuições. Outras duas consultas devem ser realizadas em abril e outra mais perto de setembro, quando está prevista a entrega do documento final.

“Internet of Things”

A Internet das Coisas (em inglês, Internet of Things – IoT) designa a rede de objetos que se comunicam e interagem de forma autônoma, via internet. As aplicações são diversas e incluem desde o monitoramento de saúde, o controle de automação industrial, até o uso de dispositivos pessoais conectados. Com a IoT é possível, por exemplo, monitorar e gerenciar operações a centenas de quilômetros de distância, rastrear bens ou detectar mudanças na pressão sanguínea de um diabético.

“Queremos que as pessoas tenham a maior quantidade de informações sobre a tecnologia, para que elas possam usar. O uso da IoT vai aumentar a produtividade, a qualidade de vida e economizar tempo. Vai potencializar várias coisas, que vão ajudar muito o nosso país”, disse Gontijo.

Estima-se que já existam mais de 15 bilhões de dispositivos conectados à IoT em todo o mundo, incluindo smartphones e computadores. A previsão é que, em 2025, seja atingida a marca de 35 bilhões de dispositivos.
